[Squenix]Fabula Nova Crystallis

Fabula Nova Crystallis is Square-Enix's latest compilation project following the commercial success of the Final Fantasy VII Compilation and Ivalice Alliance titles. Square-Enix announced the Fabula Nova Crystallis Compilation at E3 2006 along with Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The project is predicted to cost 100 billion yen, double the cost of the Final Fantasy VII Compilation. This increase in development costs is most likely caused by the move to next generation consoles like the Playstation 3.

Fabula Nova Crystallis Compilation Titles
Square-Enix has confirmed that although none of the titles will have relating storylines, they will share the same crystal mythology. Square-Enix has said phrased it as all the games taking places in the same universe but being based on seperate worlds. The Fabula Nova Crystallis Compilation is expected to span over many years according to Square-Enix. Although only three titles have been announced to date, others are planned to be released. A patent for the title "Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII" has been filed to the US Patent Office with no announcement.
